Policy Terms & Conditions

  1. Policy will cover losses occur during mountaineering and trekking up to 6000mts. 
  2. *Any claim due to or arising out of pre-existing medical condition/ailment whether declared or undeclared is
    not covered under the policy.
  3. The policy is valid only for of ‘ASC360 a brand of ‘Mission Outdoors’The policy is valid for the clients who are
    travelling to Mt Elbrus and Mt Kilimanjaro
  4. 24hr medical advisory services from critical care paramedics and in-house paramedics
  5. The Plan is valid for Indian Nationals travelling from India. Please note that the Policy start date is defined as
    the date when you are starting your journey from India. It is not the date when your trekking starts at the
  6. Proposed rates are for a single trip policy with max trip duration of 10 days/ 14 days/ 21 days. 
  7. Individuals must be aged between 1 to 70 years and should hold a valid bank account in India
  8. Covid 19 positive related claims are covered under this policy, **Covid Negative Report is required, 96 hours
    before commencement of plan
  9. Any claim due to or arising out of Covid Testing or quarantining in the Home or Destination Country is not
    covered under the policy. RTPCR or any other Covid tests charges are not included under this policy
  10. Delay/ Loss of checked in baggage would be only covered by airlines
  11. Please note that this plan should not be sourced for treks which involved a vertical climb of more than 6000 meters.
  12. Medical Evacuation includes Helicopter Evacuations and AMS is covered under this policy.

Emergency nos for urgent medical assistance


Yes this policy works on cashless basis for medical evacuation (via heli) and medical hospitalization.

There is a NO deductible on emergency medical evacuation and there is $100 deductible of medical hospitalisation during the expedition.

You have to pay these deductibles to the hospital directly at the time of your discharge. Our Assistance team will be in touch with you all the time.

Yes, the medical evacuation includes the evacuation via Helicopter and road ambulance.

Yes, this policy covers all kind of Sickness and injuries but excludes any pre-existing diseases.

In case the insured trekker is seriously unwell or badly injured, then please call on the emergency numbers given on your medical rescue cards. Our expert assistance teams and the high altitude doctors will assess the situation and will launch the evacuation on their recommendation once we receive the approval from the claims team. A typical evacuation can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on the situation and weather conditions. 

Yes, this is an international adventure travel insurance and will cover your journey from your home to home including the expedition, provided your policy starts from the day you leave India.

Expedition insurance includes adventure sports – trekking till 6000 meters. Regular travel insurance dosenot include adventure sports as there is more risk involved for the insurance company, which means less profit. The risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) increases dramatically above 2800 Meters, as do the costs of emergency medical services and evacuation.

No, this is a standardised policy with fixed coverage and rates for all Kilimanjaro expedition and for all routes on the mountain.

This policy is valid for an Indian national travelling from India to the said location for the expedition, having a valid bank account in India.
