In case the insured trekker is seriously unwell or badly injured, then please call on the emergency numbers given on your medical rescue cards. Our expert assistance teams and the high-altitude doctors will assess the situation and will launch the evacuation on their recommendation once we receive the approval from the claims team. A typical evacuation can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on the situation and weather conditions. The air evacuation in an expedition is generally facilitated either by the private helicopters or the defence helicopters once received confirmation from the concerned authorities.

No, this is a standardised policy with fixed coverage and rates for all expedition and for all routes on the mountain.

Expedition insurance includes adventure sports – mountaineering & trekking till 6500 meters. Regular travel insurance dosenot include adventure sports as there is more risk involved for the insurance company, which means less profit. The risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) increases dramatically above 2800 Meters, as do the costs of emergency medical services and evacuation.

This policy is valid for an Indian nationals & NRI’s travelling within Nepal for expeditions upto 7500 mts and having a valid bank account in India.
